INVISALIGN ORTHODONTICS

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses a series of custom-made clear aligners to move the teeth gradually toward their planned positions.
Invisalign combines the orthodontist’s clinical expertise with digital technology. The orthodontist collects accurate clinical and diagnostic data, defines the treatment goals, and develops the orthodontic plan. ClinCheck technology then supports detailed planning of tooth movements and visualises the proposed treatment process and outcome.
Invisalign offers a gentler, more convenient, and more flexible orthodontic experience. ClinCheck also helps visualise planned tooth movements and the proposed treatment outcome before treatment begins.
Invisalign has demonstrated its effectiveness through nearly 20 million treated cases worldwide, ranging from straightforward to complex. For less complex cases, Invisalign may also help optimise treatment time and reduce the number of in-clinic review appointments.
Invisalign may be considered for a wide range of malocclusions, including protrusion, underbite, crowding, crossbite, open bite, deep bite, and spacing, from straightforward to complex cases

A well-designed Invisalign plan should consider tooth position, the bite, dental midlines, overjet and overbite, the smile arc, the relationship between the lips and teeth, and long-term stability. FOUR GOALS REQUIRE ACTIVE CONTROL
Align the teeth harmoniously while improving crowding, spacing, and arch form.
Correct the relationship between the upper and lower arches and establish tooth contacts appropriate to the goals of each case.
Assess the smile arc, midlines, tooth display, and their relationship to the face
The result must be completed and maintained with an appropriate retainer plan

Technology can simulate treatment and support aligner production, but the orthodontist is responsible for diagnosis, treatment design, and control of tooth movement. Especially in complex cases, the doctor’s clinical expertise and experience remain decisive to the treatment outcome.

Invisalign Orthodontics
Crowded, crooked, or spaced teeth; protrusion; deep bite; open bite; crossbite; and dental midline discrepancies, from straightforward to complex cases.
The orthodontist needs a clear tooth-movement strategy and sound biomechanical control, using attachments, IPR, intermaxillary elastics, and adjunctive appliances where required. These cases demand substantial clinical experience.
Invisalign has limitations in certain highly complex cases, severe dento-skeletal discrepancies, or situations requiring particularly complex tooth movements
Assessment of the teeth, bite, and periodontal health; clinical photography, digital scans, and radiographs where indicated. The orthodontist identifies the treatment needs and the biological limitations of the case
The orthodontist defines the objectives, sequence of tooth movements, space-management strategy, and the use of attachments, IPR, or elastics where required, then reviews the simulation before approving the plan
Patients receive their aligners with guidance on use, cleaning, and daily wear time. Reviews are scheduled to assess tracking and the bite.
If some objectives have not yet been achieved, the orthodontist may rescan and refine the treatment with additional aligners. Once treatment is complete, retention begins to help minimise unwanted tooth movement.
